Belfast City Council were very proud of their innovative decision to install some specialist generators at their landfill site in Dargan Road, Belfast which effectively converts the methane gas into electricity generating enough electricity to supply 6000 households. So it not only helped the environment, but conserved energy.
Flexitrans were very proud to be involved in the transport of these generators (originally from the USA) and then delivered to Belfast from Germany.
There were 5 abnormal transport movements and 4 wide flatbed loads of accessories.
Please see photograghs below depicting events as they ensued.

With a firm belief in supporting the local community Flexitrans were proud to offer their support and sponsor one of the youth teams of Felixstowe and Walton United this season.
As Jamie Read's youngest son Ben plays for the under 8's , it seemed appropriate to support this particular age group in this their first season.
Jamie has been involved with Felixstowe and Walton United Football Club for many years, in the distant past he was the goalkeeper in their senior first team, but for the last 8 years has been the coach of the current under 14's team , commencing at under 6's. Jamie's eldest son Sam is currently playing for the under 14's team.
Felixstowe and Walton United have teams covering 12 age groups ranging from age 6 up to age 17 years, thereby providing football for boys and girls in and around the Felixstowe area.
The Under 8's home pitch is "Langley Avenue" and they play there on Saturday mornings with a 1030 hrs kick off time. They will play 7-a-side mini soccer until they are 12 years old and then they will start to play 11-a-side on a normal full size pitch. At this time they are then registered to play in the Felixstowe and District League.
Felixstowe and Walton United also have a very successful senior team who's headquarters and home pitch at Dellwood Avenue , Felixstowe and they play in the Ridgeons Football League. The club is very proud that they were one of the first clubs in Suffolk to be awarded the Community Standard Charter Award by the F.A for their junior section.
