Hazardous goods?
If yes read on? EC Directive 96/35/EC states that companies who transport dangerous goods are required by law to appoint a dangerous goods safety advisor.
At Flexitrans we have two fully qualified DGSAs' and can offer consultancy services for all classes by road.
Services will include
Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor
Each undertaking, the activities of which include the carriage, or the related packing, loading, filling or unloading, of dangerous goods by road are required by law to appoint one or more safety advisors for the carriage of dangerous goods, responsible for helping to prevent the risks inherent in such activities with regard to persons, property and the environment.
This appointment may be consultancy agreement, or by the direct employment and training of a member of staff to act as a Dangerous Goods Advisor.
The Advisors Duties include:
- Advising the undertaking on the carriage of dangerous goods.
- Advising compliance with the requirements governing the carriage of dangerous goods.
- Preparing an annual report to the management of the undertaking, on the activities in the carriage of dangerous goods.
- Preparing a report on any accident/incident or serious infringement during the carriage, loading or unloading of dangerous goods.
